Twin Peaks is a soapy murder-mystery T.V. show with surreal elements. Created by Mark Frost & David Lynch, released on April 8th, 1990, to a bombastic reception. It revolves around the murder of one Laura Palmer, as uncovered by eccentric FBI agent Dale Cooper.
Twin Peaks' Lynchisms are what specifically latched me on to this show. The fanciful idiosyncrasies of its adult cast- the superstrong, neurotic Nadine, who totes an eyepatch and spends much of the show regressed to her teenage years after a pill overdose (a suicide attempt when a pantent for silent drape runners was denied); the local sheriff, inexplicably named Harry S.
